MOSCOW, Russia - Photo shows the covers of the Russian-language novel written by Akio Kawato, a minister at the Japanese Embassy in Moscow, that depicts the turbulent era before and after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The novel with the title provisionally translated into English as ''The Land Far Away'' is proving popular since its release in Russian bookstores in December.
